At the heart of it is Boduberu, which means “big drum” in Dhivehi (Maldivian national language), a traditional music and dance performance built around powerful, resonant drumming. The main instrument, made from coconut wood with a skin drumhead, is supported by smaller percussion, creating deep, rhythmic sounds. Believed to have roots in East African influences from as early as the 11th century, it has evolved into a uniquely Maldivian cultural expression. Performances typically build from slow, steady beats to energetic crescendos, bringing together drummers, singers, and dancers in a shared experience. More than entertainment, Boduberu represents community, heritage, and the enduring spirit of the Maldives.

Kula is our all-day dining restaurant with a breezy and bright dining room. It serves up a mix of cuisines buffet style, with a large open kitchen and food stations to make your selections. Enjoy your meal with open views of the pool and ocean among lush plants that fill the space. 

Joos Café is the perfect place for a quick snack, a light bite, or a refreshing pick‑me‑up. This all‑day spot offers a selection of smoothies, fresh juices, specialty coffees, and light lunches including salads, wraps, and paninis. Guests can enjoy everything table‑side in the café or choose to relax outdoors by the pool. The lounge area, also a great place to work or unwind is lined with a curated library of vintage books, magazines, and more, creating a cozy and inspiring atmosphere for every visit.

Todis is the spot for a relaxing and playful afternoon. Located off the pool deck, Todis serves up bar snacks like fresh oysters, fried chicken sandwiches, and dry aged beef burgers, plus plenty of fresh cocktails, cold beer and wine. Take a break from the sun to play in our custom-made tubular ping pong table, or sit down with a drink and classic board game or book, all available for your use.

Turtle Expedition 
There are few more exciting and yet leisurely experiences than floating along side a green sea turtle as it gently dines on sea grasses. Take it slow, and go with the flow on an afternoon turtle expedition. Turtles are easy to locate, love shallow water with lots of marine life, and they don’t mind sharing the water with snorkelers. Five of the world’s seven different sea turtle species call the Maldives home. Discover the beautiful Maldivian aquaculture hidden just beneath the surface from a turtle’s perspective.

After a short, 20-minute boat ride, choose a buddy, suit up in snorkeling gear, and jump into the pellucid aquamarine waters of Maldives, swimming with an array of exotic fish and coral. Look carefully and you may well spot some turtles, eels, clams, and even lobster.

Swimming with giant mantas is the experience of a lifetime. These giant creatures may seem imposing but they’re extremely gentle and not at all shy. Watch them glide through the water as various fish swim alongside and under them in harmonious symbiosis. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a whale shark, the world's largest fish!

Hanifaru Bay, a Marine Protected Area and UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve area, is famous for its concentration of reef manta rays. These gentle creatures swim around with ease and grace, and now you can join them!
